  The Sacred Heart of Jesus is the font from which we receive pure and unquenchable love. When we experience the burning love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus we can never be the same, the encounter with this intense love of Christ leads us to freedom and to seek to live in relationship with Him.

How do we experience the love of the Sacred Heart?

  First it is through prayer. Like any loving relationship there must be dialogue between the two. One cannot honestly say they are in a happy relationship if there is no conversation. Prayer is how we converse with our Lord.

  Second is through each other. We experience the living love of God through one another, through the smile, the words of affirmation, the embrace and sharing in each other’s lives. It is in these gestures that we can begin to know the love of God.

  My time here at Sacred Heart is coming to an end. I will, with a heavy heart, be departing this wonderful parish on May 20th. I leave you all with a heart filled with a tremendous experience of the love of the Sacred Heart. During my time here with you I fell in love and learned what it means to pour myself out for the love of others. You all have taught me so much and allowed me to share in your lives and I will be eternally grateful. As I leave, I promise you all that I will continue to hold you in prayer and commend you all to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
 

El Amor del Sagrado Corazón

  El Sagrado Corazón de Jesús es la fuente del cual recibimos el amor puro que nunca se apaga. Cuando experimentamos el amor ardiente del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, nunca podemos ser el mismo, el encuentro con este intenso amor de Cristo nos conduce a la libertad y a tratar de vivir en relación con él.

¿Cómo experimentamos el amor del Sagrado Corazón?

  En primer lugar es a través de la oración. Al igual que cualquier relación amorosa, debe haber un diálogo entre los dos. No se puede decir honestamente que estamos en una relación feliz si no hay conversación. La oración es la forma en que conversamos con el Señor.

  En segundo lugar es a través del uno al otro. Experimentamos el amor viviente de Dios a través de relaciones entre otros, a través de la sonrisa, las palabras de afirmación, el abrazo y la participación en la vida del otro. Es en estos gestos que podemos empezar a conocer el amor de Dios.

  Mi tiempo aquí en el Sagrado Corazón está llegando a su fin. Yo, con un peso en el corazón, saldré de esta maravillosa parroquia el 20 de mayo. Me voy con un corazón lleno de una enorme experiencia del amor del Sagrado Corazón. Durante mi tiempo aquí con ustedes me enamoré y aprendí lo que significa desahogarme por el amor de los demás. Todos ustedes me han enseñado mucho y me han permitido compartir en sus vidas y siempre estaré eternamente agradecido. Les prometo a todos que seguirán en mis oraciones siempre ofreciéndolos al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús.
